[REMINDER] 5 weeks to go!

Dear Breaking Barriers community,

I wanted to reach out, first and foremost, to express my gratitude for your participation to date. We've witnessed a remarkable community from across the globe come together to address challenges in using generative AI and connectivity to impact every facet of life. With only 5 weeks remaining, we'd like to clarify some of the top frequently asked questions (FAQs) we've received.

For those seeking AWS credits, the best approach is to complete our Skills Challenge. By dedicating approximately 1 hour to hands-on learning and submitting the intake form, a member of our team will reach out with $25 in credits to support your project.

For those eager to build a project but unsure where to start: Please note that while we encourage applications that combine AWS generative AI services with next-generation connectivity solutions (such as 5G, IoT, or edge computing) to address pressing challenges in healthcare, education, sustainability, or arts & culture, you are welcome to develop applications for other industries (manufacturing, smart cities, finance, retail, etc). Be sure to consider the future of connected networks and the potential role of wireless networks (and beyond) in shaping application experiences.

Remember, your solution must utilize AWS generative AI services (e.g., Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker AI, or Amazon Q), demonstrate measurable real-world impact, feature a clean and intuitive user interface, and be technically sound. The judges will evaluate your submissions based on technological implementation, design, potential impact, and the quality of the idea. Don't forget to submit a write-up explaining the problem statement and solution overview, provide access to your open-source code repository, and include a 5-minute demo video showcasing your project's features.

We look forward to seeing your innovative solutions!

Your Telco AI Fellowship Team
